About this Web Site
Unit 6 Representative
Mark Pelletier
455-8076
Homeowners Association
BACKGROUND
The primary function of the Unit Representative is to assist the HOA in providing residents with easy access to accurate information about the operation and maintenance of our community.
I am a computer "geek' but I realize that most of you are not! So I think that a simple email newsletter is the easiest way to provide you information, with no technical requirements on your part other than to give me your email address. The emails will be plain text, without fancy formatting, and may not look too elegant when printed out.
WHAT INFORMATION YOU'LL GET
Frankly, most everything I send will be available from the HOA, either from the website or other HOA information sources. I'm not going to re-write everything, but rather give a brief synopsis of important items, then include the appropriate attachment or website link - you still have to do most of the work.
THIS WEBSITE
But since I am that geek, I've also made this web site to complement the Newsletter. Hopefully it adds a little more value to the process - such as archiving articles and providing additional information. And I'll try to make it look nicer too.
A REQUEST FROM MARK
My goal is to provide information to Unit 6 - not to supplant the extensive HOA web site or to address other Units here at PC. Many other Unit Reps have created their own methods of communication - this just happens to be mine. So even if you like what I'm doing, please don't promote it outside our Unit - I do not want to be seen as stepping on any toes.
OPENING ATTACHMENTS
Attachments in the Newsletter will usually be Microsoft WORD or EXCEL files (in the .doc or .xls formats compatible with all versions) If you do not have Microsoft Office software, you should be able to open the files in Microsoft WORKS, which is included free with WINDOWS.
Some files may be in Adobe .pdf format. You can get the Adobe Reader software free at get.adobe.com/reader
Sorry, I'm not an iMac person, but can get you help if needed.
UNIT SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Another role of the Unit Rep is to be the unit "social director" - a role at which I fail miserably. A unit can have multiple representatives, and I would welcome anyone who wants to work with me and take on that role.
